Ever thought about getting wild in Osaka? It’s the flipside of Tokyo. Left is Right, Up is Down and the “Taco Bell” out there isn’t what you think.

How about walking the way of the samurai and tracing the history of the Shogun in Kyoto?

Kansai… Aka-san’s second home and Intermixi branded is waiting for you.

We offer these side tours and more courtesy of Sunrise Tours, but what will really put the “maximum” in maximizing this tour will be seeing none other than the critically acclaimed band “Maximum The Hormone” play live in Japan!

Who is MTH?:

Wiki Says: Maximum the Hormone brokeout into popular culture with the song “Koi no Megalover,” reaching number nine on the Oricon charts during the summer of 2006; their first top-ten hit in Japan. The band had three of their songs featured in anime series; “What’s up, people?!” and “Zetsubou Billy” are featured as the opening and ending tracks, respectively, in the late episodes of the Death Note anime series, and “Akagi” is featured as the ending theme for the Akagi anime series.

And now Intermixi has a limited opportunity to see them let loose, in an intimate Japanese atmosphere on the tale end of their summer tour. Maybe we’ll be on tv? ^_^

DAY 1 & 2
Today assemble at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for your international flight to Tokyo. The Tour Leader will be available in the International Terminal for check-in. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and meet your fellow traveling companions.

During the flight, we cross the international dateline and arrive at Narita International Airport in Chiba prefecture. After completing immigration and custom procedures, passengers will receive a complimentary transfer from the airport to the hotel in Tokyo. During the transfer, enjoy orientation commentary about Japan, talk with fellow travelers, and catch glimpses of Tokyo Disneyland, Odaiba, and the dazzling lights of Tokyo before arriving at the tour hotel.

DAY 3
TOKYO CULTURAL TOUR

A whirlwind tour of some of Tokyo’s most famous sites! The skies are clear, the buildings are towering, and the music and sounds of the city work like an orchestra, calling out to you. The tour will take place on a bus, where Intermixi will provide a bilingual tour guide for explanations and questions, so you can relax and leave the work to Aka-san and company. Let’s go!

We’ll be visiting sites such as Asakusa (formally an infamous entertainment district, but is now one of the most lovely and relaxing tourist spots in all of the city), we will head to the ever-imposing and ever-impressive Imperial Palace. The thick castle walls will remind you of early Kurosawa films. The Meiji shinto shrine, another must-see temple located a bit closer to the hustle and bustle of the city.

We’ll take a lunch at Harajuku, a spot popular with both fashion-conscious teens as well as trend-hunters from around the world. There are numerous famous stores and restaurants in this area, so you won’t be at a loss when it comes to finding a way to stopping your hunger pangs, or a way to give your wallet a workout.

And a Tokyo Tour just wouldn’t be one without a trip to the Tokyo Tower! Based upon the design of the Eiffel tower (and just a bit taller), Tokyo Tower was originally built to relay transmission signals to the populace of Tokyo. Although it is now outmoded thanks to cable and satellite, that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the coolest places to visit in the city, with a massive, indescribable view that encapsulates the whole of Tokyo from one small glass room.

DAY 4
A DAY IN AKIBA AND CRASHING THE M.U.

Prepare for a day of play in the internationally-renowned electronics and pop culture playground of Akiba. Games, computers, TVs, toys, comics, books, wires, gadgets, cosplay, maids… it’s all here, waiting for you, and only the pros at Intermixi can run things down so clearly at a place this fascinating and mind-bending. The Ultimate Akiba tour will get you acclimatized and ready to go in no time. Happy hunting, intermixers!

We’ll also be crashing a course at the Manga University! You’ve read them, collected them and even tried to emulate the form. Now, Intermixi and Manga University are giving participants the opportunity to hang out with professional manga artists and learn tricks of the trade.

DAY 5
GHIBLI MUSUEM, ODAIBA, GAME ON, NIGHTLIFE

It’s the peace before the gamer storm, Intermixi makes it’s return to the Ghibli Musuem! The studio that brought you such films as Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s moving castle has an amazing museum hidden in the back areas of Kichijoji. Ride the cat bus, see an exclusive Ghibli movie, eat at the straw hat café, drink Ghibli beer?!

While we’re in the man made island known as Odaiba visiting Fuiji TV studio, shopping at the Decks Tokyo Beach mall or reenacting the scene from Cloverfield with Japanese own Statue of Liberty, Intermixi is granting you a full access pass for Sega Joypolis. Unlimited access to playing the newest, traditional and just plain crazy games Japan has to offer.

Take a rest a the JPOP Café over looking the Rainbow Bridge then it’s time to survey the nightlife only Intermixi can show you in Japan.

DAY 6
TOKYO GAME SHOW AND CLUB NIGHT

The day has finally come. We know how what was only “announced” at E3 in July, but what happens when the Japanese run a show on there home turf. Upcoming demos, a cosplay area for the public, booth babes and it’s hands on all and fully playable!! (The games we mean…)

And if the excitement of TGS 2008 doesn’t wear you out, the sun will come down and it’s a Saturday night in Japan. Will the Intermixi night crew be out on the prowl? You better believe it! Whether Rock, Reggae, Hip Hop, or Electronic, Aka-san and staff shine the brightest at night and will give you a whole new meaning to the Tokyo ”Game” show. We recommend studying our classic “nampa” lines beforehand though.

DAY 7
DEPARTURE TO LAX

It’s “GAME OVER” for the Tokyo Game Show Tour as we will depart from our favorite island chain heading back the LAX. Please be sure to have your bags packed and ready, and have all your important information and documents prepared. This once-a-year event is a “MUST” for all gaming fans!

The entire day is at leisure for you to pursue your own interests. You may wish to use your JR Pass to explore other areas outside of Japan such as Yokohama, Kamakura, Nikko, or take a trip to Tokyo Dinsey Sea, a fabulous “sea-themed” Disney Park located just outside of Tokyo. Your Tour Leader can offer suggestions and help with planning your day.

And at night, Maximum The Hormone in Yokohama!
