Face it Tigger… You just hit the jackpot!

Posted by Akasan On August - 31 - 2009

Today it was announced that Marvel Entertainment (Spiderman,Ironman, X-men, etc) is being bought out by Disney Inc. (Mouse, ESPN, God)

So instead of rehashing what you’ve already probaly heard by now, we’d thought it be clever to show you what the Internet is saying.

“I knew it. Disney is already messing with the Marvel characters”(via Kotaku forums)

Horacio De Vicenzo: (regarding Ultimate Alliance 2) what? now Sora will be on the game? can you summon Bambi? Thor will have a Keyblade?

theJohnChihak: 1. Archie meets the Punisher 2. Punisher meets Eminem 3. Punisher Kills the Disney Universe

stephenbobbett: Now that Disney owns Marvel, the Hulk can only turn back into Banner–if he finds true love before the stroke of midnight.

BrianReed(writer for Marvel): there is a cricket just outside my office window. I hate him with all my heart.

theJohnChihak: Darkwing Duck vs. Hong Kong Phooey! “Let’s get redonkulous!”

rogerogeroger:Welcome to the X-Men, Hannah Montana. Hope you survive the X-perience!

CaptainHavok Tinkerbell: The future ex-Mrs. Pym.

And now my personal joke that came to mind this morning:

“BREAKING NEWS: The Fairy godmother destroys Mephisto with love and Peter Parker is married to Mary Jane once again! It’s really is a fairly tale ending! Thanks Disney!”

Nigri Please…

Posted by Jessica Nigri On August - 13 - 2009

Jessica Nigri is now part of Intermixi.com! In preparation for her own website debut, her new column “Nigri Please” is sure to peak everyone interest. From Pokemon Red cheat codes to cosplay tips, Nigri Please is just a place for Jessica to let loose…

So let’s begin!

The origin evolving into Pikachu:

“So heres the story… I have always wanted to go to a comic book convention, and for christmas I got a four day pass to SDCC 2009!! Needless to say, like any nerd, I was SUPER excited!

July rolls around, and after a long session of Pokemon Red on my ghetto Gameboy Color, I decided to embody and become my trusty pixelate friend, Pikachu!!

Little did I know, that becoming the 25th Pokemon of the now growing 400+ would be such a hit!! O:

Upon entering the doors of Comic Con, I was bombarded with photographers and fellow comic con attendee’s asking for picture after picture! I was completely surprised! And very happy to pose for every single person who asked. :D Everyone was so nice about the whole thing how could i refuse!!

Now coming on a month later, I am still in shock about how this all turned out, but I am VERY happy this all happened….”

The weeks after Comic con:

“Since Comic Con, I was bombarded with fan requests and messages asking to be my friend. Unfortunately I couldn’t accept them on my private page, but I thought that I still wanted to be friends with these people. So I made a quick fan-page off facebook and now within 2weeks I have 9,000 fans. Is that some kinda of Facebook record? LMAO

But honestly, it’s still shocking and overwhelming, but all the people I have talked to thus far are so awesome it’s all so worth it!

As I sat watching Princess Laya befriend an Ewok, on Star Wars, I couldn’t help but feel a warm fuzzy feeling towards that of the people trying to befriend me. They were all so wonderful, curious and most had nothing but good things to say! But I’m not saying you all are EWOKS!

Gaining internet fame hasn’t changed me one bit. I still spend 4-6hours on the computer, yet instead of watching Anime I am now taking the time to talk to my fans.

Its amazing how many great friends I have already made and hope to continually make!!  I truly feel bless. :D

So I hope  you all will like my Nigri Please column at Intermixi and if you have any questions for me or tips how to make it cool lemme know.

Oh yeah this weekend I’ll be launching my brand new website (Jessienigri.com) completely controlled by me BWAHAHAHA!

See ya’ll soon…

XOXO

PSXXX? Japan’s PS3 now Adult friendly!

Posted by Akasan On August - 12 - 2009

TOKYO—Japan’s multimedia PS3 is not just good for gaming and watching Blu-ray. You can also watch porn aplenty on it.

QJ.net reports DDM.tv will soon launch a porn-on-demand service for the Sony PlayStation 3, offering HD adult films for the player. All that’s needed is a broadband connection, an HDMI cable, and the PS3, of course.

Before downloading, users must log onto the DMM.tv site, where they can search for titles, porn stars and types of content. Among the available titles is Yuma Asami and One Hundred Onanists.

Will this open the door for porn-on-demand on American PS3s?

Really makes you think what else will be “revealed” at the Tokyo Game Show.

Wolverine is headed to Japan

Posted by Akasan On August - 10 - 2009

Late last year, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman began teasing that he’d like to bring Logan to Japan for a live-action adaptation of Frank Miller and Chris Claremont’s fan-favorite story arc that had the Marvel Comics hero learning Eastern philosophy and fighting skills. While the actor offered up a confirmation of sorts prior to “Wolverine” hitting theaters that he was “talking to writers” about going the Japanese route for the sequel, the studio made it official after the film found success at the box office.

During this weekend’s Teen Choice Awards, Jackman devoted part of his acceptance speech (“Wolverine” won the action/adventure film category) to teasing the aforementioned sequel — and Logan’s impending journey to Japan.

“Who knows, maybe Wolverine will use one of these when he heads to Japan,” Jackman told the crowd, holding up the surfboard that served as the award. “See you next time around!”

“The ‘going to Japan’ was pretty serious, the ‘using the surfboard’ was not. Not a lot of surfing in Japan,” laughed Jackman when we caught him backstage.

Offering an update of sorts for the sequel, Jackman told MTV News “Japan is where we’re heading, [and] we’re starting to work on it now. We’re in the … first steps of developing that story.”

Reiterating his desire to Miller and Claremont’s story arc brought to the screen, Jackman said he’s “made no real secret” of his fondness for that particular chapter of Wolverine’s history. “I think the fans love that saga. It’s my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories.”

“That’s a movie I’ve longed to make from the beginning, so that’s where we’re heading,” he said.
