Utada Postpones U.S. Promotion For Album Release
Renowned international singer and songwriter, Utada, who is set to release her new album This Is The One on May 12th (the Island Def Jam Music Group), has been forced to postpone her promotions to launch the album along with a series of in-store appearances. The 26 year-old artist, who had planned to arrive today May 11th to promote and drive the album release, has been diagnosed with an acute case of left relapsing peritonsillitis.
Utada, who is Japan’s best selling artist ever, was set to make highly anticipated in-store appearances in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and Honolulu to promote the May 12th album. Upon consultation with doctors and a brief hospitalization, she’s been advised not to travel or use her voice for at least two weeks. A full recovery is expected.
According to the artist’s representative, “Utada was very much looking forward to sharing her new album with her U.S fans and is very disappointed that her illness has forced her to postpone these promotional activities. She looks forward to rescheduling them as soon as she can.”

MATCH 1: Tale of the tape
As we get closer to the end of Match 1, the staff at Intermixi has noticed a few things…
The match for the men has been neck to neck from the beginning, we have the number #1 hotty hunk of Japan vs an almost virtual unknown until landing the greatest role an otaku could ever have.
While on the women’s side, (as predicted by Aka-san himself) Utada Hikaru came out the gates sprinting to take the lead, however in the last couple of days, it appears with the support of our avid forum members, sexy Ebi-chan was not one to be counted out so quickly against the music legend. The girl with the “fishy” name is slowly tying up the polls.

Yuri Ebihara (蛯原 友里 ,Ebihara Yuri?, born October 3, 1979 in Sadowara, Miyazaki Prefecture) is a Japanese model and actress. She is a graduate of Kyushu Sangyo University, where she studied fine arts.
Her first big break came as a model for CanCam, with whom she had an exclusive contract. She has since appeared in several TV dramas, most recently “Tokumei Kakarichō Tadano Hitoshi” (tv asahi, 2007).
